Big thanks to all the producers and djs that made it out to Photosynthesis Festival to play “The Womb”. It was a dynamic weekend for sure. With so much musical diversity throughout the fest there was something for everyone. The “Womb” offered many techno options from dub to hard acid. The weekend featured incredible live acts including a surprise live set by Seattle’s own Cyanwave! Joris Kamma played a set of primarily his own tunes and we are excited to announce that KRecordings will be releasing some of these in the near future. Bryan Zentz set was incredible. We are so blessed to have this man in our own back yard! In fact we had no fewer than 4 artist come all the way from Portland to play “The Womb”. Camino Acid (Senor Frio and SciFiSol) also made it up from Portland. These 2 insanely gifted producers are a power house duo and some of the nicest folks to hang out with! Electrosect worked his ass off all weekend to help produce the festival but managed to get in a killer closing set for the “Womb” weekend at Photo. Never pass up a chance to see Electrosect live. Seriously well crafted music. Natuerbot played a great live p.a. AND a all vinyl hard acid set that blew out the sub:) Nice one Ian. Grindle and Travis Baron both managed to bang out 2 sets during the weekend and had a blast doing it! It was good times all around. I believe Grindle will be posting a review of the fest in the few days so be sure to check back as I know I’ve left out a few moments that deserve reflection. Stephen Schieberl, AKA “Let’s Go Outside” will be playing along side a number of other fine producers and djs this coming weekend at Photosynthesis Festival in “The WOMB” presented by KRecordings and Sensory Effect! Let’s Go Outside – “Closer in the Park mix”

Stephen Schieberl was born in Milan, Italy on December 6, 1977 and is now living in Portland, Oregon. He took the moniker “Let’s Go Outside” as a tribute to his fascination with outdoor activities, most notably parachuting. Let’s Go Outside started DJing and producing electronic music as a teenager in the early nineties in southern California. His music straddles many different styles; evidence of having grown up with a wide variety of influences. There are hints of IDM, techno, ambient, electro, house, etc, but it never lands itself directly on one genre. The end result is a complex-yet-intuitive mixture of all forms of electronic music, layered atop heavy bass and unshakable hooks, combined to create something new, yet strangely familiar.

He was picked up by Glasgow-based Soma Quality Recordings in 2006, receiving support from luminaries such as Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier, Ivan Smagghe, and more. He followed up on some early releases and remixes with the 2008 release of his debut album, “A Picnic with the Hunters”, on Soma Records, pairing that with a successful European tour performing for sold out crowds at venues including Fabric, The Loft, The Arches and Sub Club. 2009 saw the release of his second album on Soma, “Conversations With My Invisible Friends”. After eighteen appearances on the label, he’s focusing on his own imprint, Slant Records.

If you have ever been to Photosynthesis here in Washington you know what a special event this yearly Festival can be. Now in their forth year presenting, Photosynthesis Festival is well known for not only having stellar lineups that feature elite Producers and djs from around the world but also pulls from a pool of of some of the Pacific NW’s incredible talent. Each year the organisers have procured prime real estate for this 3 day event leaving each and every camper stunned by the beauty and spirit of the festival grounds. This year’s event will be held up at the vary tipy top of Continental United States on the Olympic Peninsula’s Neah Bay at the Hoebuck Beach Resort. A very sacred place to the Makah tribe people.

Mathew Anderson’s “Wirst EP” is set to launch KRecordings with remix and mastering services provided by Angel Alanis and Pezzner. KR001 is set to release digitally this Summer and will include 4 featured trax plus additional bonus trax and dj tools. Authentic Absinthe, Premium Sake, and a fantastic keg of Belgian brew will be provided along with some of Seattle’s most inspiring house and techno producers – All night long. Looptid along with the birthday boy Grindle will be on hand to transform our intimate space into a audio/visual safari for the night. $10 gets you night the door w/ a drink in hand.
